Ancient Native American Pottery Replication Workshop: Corrugated Ware of the Mogollon Culture

$70.00

In this workshop students will explore and authentically recreate corrugated pottery as it was made by the prehistoric Mogollon culture. Mogollon corrugated pottery is sometimes overlooked because it is not flashy like polished and painted pottery types, but a close examination reveals an elegance of form and sophisticated techniques used in construction. Workshop participants will learn the history of these pottery types and experience the entire process of reproducing them from processing raw materials, to hand coiling vessels, culminating in an authentic outdoor pottery firing.
