This free presentation will be given by Allen Dart on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 1-3:30 pm, at Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Library, 7800 N. Schisler Dr., Tucson (actually in Marana). Old Pueblo Archaeology Center’s executive director, archaeologist Allen Dart, will illustrate artifacts, architecture, and other material culture of southern Arizona’s ancient Hohokam culture, and will discuss the archaeological excavations that Old Pueblo Archaeology Center and Desert Archaeology, Inc. conducted at the Yuma Wash Hohokam village site and the Bojórquez-Aguirre Ranch historic archaeological site, which are in the Town of Marana’s Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, near the Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Library. Sponsored by Old Pueblo Archaeology Center, the Abbett Library, and the Arizona Archaeological Society’s Desert Foothills Chapter.
